Cave & Salt Cultural Full Day
We will pick you from your respective hotels then drive you to the Momi Gun Site ‘Fiji’s forgotten guns of the second World War’, before heading to Tau village for the traditional welcome kava ceremony, then a guided tour of the village, the village school and mingle with the locals. Then it is off to the Old Limestone Quarry that was used for the cleansing of Gold bars in Vatukoula at the beginning of the 20th century and trek to the ancestral limestone cave ‘Oho’, the largest ave in the South Pacific which was the village & fortification site and was regarded as one of the first Fijian settlement four hundred years ago. Enjoy Fijian cooked lunch.
After lunch, it’s off to Lomowai village to witness the art of traditional salt making, before transporting you back to your respective hotels.
